Terence Blanchard, an eight-time Grammy winner and two-time Oscar-nominated film composer, stands as one of jazz's most esteemed trumpeters and a prolific creator across multiple artistic fields, including film, television, opera, and Broadway. Known for his powerful statements on human rights and social justice, Blanchard's career spans over 60 film scores, notably with Spike Lee projects, and two critically acclaimed operas, Fire Shut Up in My Bones and Champion, both of which earned Grammy awards for "Best Opera Recording." Recognized globally for his genre-defying work, Blanchard's music remains rooted in jazz, where his expressive compositions continue to inspire.

“Blanchard’s body of work is one of the broadest and most imposing of any living jazz musician.” —New York Times
