Mia Nicholson’s sound is at once dynamic and understated; sultry and refreshing — and always vulnerable. Based in Portland, Oregon, Mia has earned a loyal following for her expressive storytelling, tasteful repertoire and flashes of wit. She is proud to have shared the stage with many of the Northwest’s stellar accompanists, including Randy Porter, David Frishberg, Vince Frates, Steve Christofferson, Dan Gildea and John Stowell, among others. Mia is delighted to perform with PDX Jazz veterans Vince Frates (piano), Ed Bennett (bass), and Brent Follis (drums).
